The Theme

So far, I've been thinking of theming first. I mean, how do you pick a dress, flowers, and embellishments without a theme?

Color

For the colors, I've been looking at have a basis in Ivory and Burgundy, with touches of olive and pinks. The color red is by far my all-time favorite, and the color is traditionally the ideal choice for Chinese, and Indian marriage. A lot of my inspiration for artwork comes from these places, and I feel paying it a homage is an excellent start. It has been my long-time dream to have a wedding dress of ivory and red.

While the traditional wedding dress to this day is white, sometimes the binds of tradition are meant to be broken. Actually, long ago white was the color of mourning, and I feel like my family may be in enough of that come ceremony-time.

Accents

So now that the color is decided on, it's time to talk accents. Things that will end up absolutely everywhere. This doesn't include flowers just yet, those I'll have a separate post for. What I'm looking for is bows. Bows are symbolic of tying a bond, to hold something, and of course, are very easy to implement. Not to mention the ribbons themselves can be implemented in HUNDREDS of ways.
